Fall Program Series With Fun Story Time
October 8 @ 3:30 pm
The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) invite families from across the region to kick off the Fall Program Series with fun Story Time events at the Eastpoint Branch Library. This special program is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, at 3:30 PM, at the Eastpoint Branch, 160 Hickory Dip Rd, Eastpoint, FL. Best of all, all library programs are free and open to the public, with no registration or library card required!
The Eastpoint Story Time event will feature the beloved children’s book “The Little Ghost Who Was A Quilt” by Riel Nason. This book tells the story of a little ghost who feels sad and left out because, unlike his sheet-like friends, he is a quilt and struggles to fly like they do. However, one Halloween, he has a unique experience that only happens because he’s a quilt, helping him realize it’s OK to be different. After the book is read, visitors will make themed crafts: DIY Ghost Hand Puppets. The program will be filled with engaging storytelling and crafts, providing a time of fun that will ignite a love for reading in young minds. The whole family is invited to participate in the activities, which are designed to build pre-reading skills and encourage social interaction in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. This event is best suited for those 2-6 years old.
This event is just one of many in the Fall Program Series sponsored by the FFCPL. In addition to the Story Time event, both the Eastpoint and Carrabelle branches of the Franklin County Public Libraries will be bustling with activities for children and adults alike for this series. Plus don’t miss the regularly scheduled programs including Eastpoint Book Chat on the 1st Tuesday at 1:30 pm, Carrabelle Book Chat on the 1st Friday at 1:30 pm, Eastpoint Homeschool Hour on the 2nd Wednesday at 1:00 pm, and the Eastpoint Writer’s Forum on the 3rd Wednesday at 1:00 pm.
